Katherine of Synjar, House of the Royal Panther, or Kat as she prefers to be called, desires very little, except to be left alone.

Johnathan of Dragon City relentlessly tries to convince Kat to teach him to become an adventurer. Kat rejects all his pleas. 

He’s too young, too inexperienced, and too annoying. She works alone.

Out of pity and a sense of fairness, Kat rescues Jon from three men who attack him. This act of kindness turns their lives into a crazy, unpredictable adventure that leads them on a merry chase to find the thieves who stole a dragon egg.
